Israel Is Not US

Israel is slaughtering more kids this week in Rafah. If you’ve seen the videos you know the details. It’s hell on earth.

“What is Israel supposed to do?” is the common retort.

The answer is, I don’t care what they’re supposed to do. The answer is, Israel is not our problem. Israel needs to live with the decisions they’ve made and make. They wanted the land eighty years ago, and they got it. Now deal with all your neighbors who rightfully hate you for that. Deal with all your neighbors who rightfully hate you for your actions and ideologies ever since.

It’s. Not. Our. Problem.

Yet, here we are, giving Israel tons of money in perpetuity. Does not make us more safe in any way whatsoever? No. It happens because AIPAC has The Hill by the balls. It’s that simple and cynical. Lobbying as a concept is a liiiiittle problematic, isn’t it?

Now, let’s say Israel suddenly ceases to exist and every single person there is able to safely relocate to America. Would Islamic fundamentalist governments create some sort of moral utopia in the region? Of course not! Concluding that Israel should not exist as a nation is not an endorsement of Islamic fundamentalism. They’re both insane in their own ways.

“America is insane, too!”
